Our First Poll

In an effort to see initial support for the three announced Republican candidates for the Seventh District, we have inserted a web poll on the blog. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order by their last name.

Voting will remain open until Tuesday, November 22nd at Noon.

Good luck.

Why isn't Sean Duffy running? He'd be a far better candidate, especially versus Nick Reid.

It's my understanding Nick Reid met with Sean Duffy earlier this year and Duffy indicated to him that he wouldn't be running. Duffy apparently encouraged Reid to run.

I heard Duffy was supporting Reid too.

Robinson is a pilot. A non-factor though really.

bob,

this site is linked to all three candidates sites, so I'm not sure what you're point is? Tyberg is free to link his site to this one as well. Just because Reid was smart enough to link back to this blog from his blog doesn't mean there isn't an even exchange of ideas.

I've seen you've posted on Tyberg's site. If you're a supporter of his, that's cool, but at least make a valid point if you're bloggin with us here.

Yeah Bob, check the right column underneath the poll. All three sites are linked there.

thanks for the clarification bob.

I've met Reid and asked him where he stands on some issues personally. So far, I've liked what I've heard. I didn't ask if there would be more specifics from him on his site later, but I think his site is good on an introductory level. It's probably good to go around the district and talk to people to see what issues are most important to them so you can help shape your campaign message to most effectively reach the most people. If Reid hasn't done that and posted some more specifics by February or March, then maybe I'll start calling him out as well.

Tyberg on the other hand seems to have a different strategy. He seems to think that he should just throw out a lot of ideas and see what sticks with people. It's not a bad strategy, just different.
