FEC Reports

The deadline for Federal Election Commission (FEC) reports to be filed from the last quarter was last Tuesday. In an effort to be fair to all three candidates, we have waited several days past the deadline before posting on it. We wanted to make sure if a filing was mailed instead of electronically filed it had time to be scanned into the system and that we had time to see it before commenting.

As of today, here are the results in alphabetical order by last name:

Nick Reid - Raised $38,968 - Cash on Hand $30,249
Dave Robinson - No Report According to FEC
Jeff Tyberg - No Report According to FEC

By law, candidates are required to file an FEC report if they raise or spend $5,000 on their campaigns. Presumably, only Reid had raised or spent more than $5,000 on his campaign by December 31st.

Considering Robinson says he decided to run right after the 2004 Election and Tyberg decided to run last March, count me less than impressed by the fact they hadn't even raised $5000 by the end of 2005.

We need to get some momentum behind one of these candidates. I don't know much about each of them, but it seems like this kid Reid is headed in the right direction.

no report filed. surely you missed something Obey Out. to hear them talk, you'd think Robinson and Tyberg were serious about this.

The 7th District Caucus will be telling. With the three candidates taking to the microphone one right after the other, we should have a pretty good idea of who the real contender is rather than any pretenders.

hey democrats for Reid, you better watch out or Bob will get on here and start saying we're ganging up on his candidate. whatever you do, don't quote something controversial Tyberg said or Bob will call you a liar if it doesn't sound that good after the fact.

Thanks for being a good sport Bob. Tyberg has a fan. I'm sure he has other fans around the district as well. I'm not with Tyberg on everything, but he would be my second choice in this primary based on his positions on the issues. In my opinion though, he's running this like a low-budget local campaign. That just won't work in a Congressional race. You might consider that underestimating, I just think it's a dose of reality.
