Rumor Has It
Rumor has it that Tyberg issued a non-apology press release, calling his false claim that Reid wouldn't debate him a "misunderstanding." That's the way someone who can't ever admit when they are wrong says, "I was wrong." Weak, but what can we expect.
Rumor also has it that Obey is done working for August. We can only find record of him working for 5 days out of 5 weeks of the break where Members of Congress are supposed to come home and meet with their constituents.
We also heard from a tipster that Dave Obey is already planning his transition to appropriations chairman. If we work together, we can change his plans to how to spend his retirement.

You Reid supporters don't get it do you? Attacking someone for not debating them before you issue the debate challenge isn't a lie or false, it's just a misunderstanding. It also shouldn't matter they'd already debated you a few times.
I guess you could call this progress since he didn't offer the excuse that he doesn't read his own press releases this time.
what???
I agree, what?????
"Attacking someone for not debating them before you issue the debate challenge isn't a lie or false, it's just a misunderstanding."
Why don't cops use this rationale more often? "Judge, it looked like he was going to pull out a gun, so I shot him. The fact that he didn't even have a gun is just a big misunderstanding."
I believe the first comment was facetious....
Look at this moron writing to the Superior Telegram:

Good grief, Obey already has the news editor at the Telegram kissing his ass. You'd think they would try to balance it out with some pro-Reid letters...
..Or at least print the letter of someone who isn't a partisan hack.
I'm the original poster. I was trying to be facetious, but I see that didn't work. My point is that the Tyberg campaign is something out of the sci-fi channel with some of the stuff they do. First they agree to a endorsement process, then they back out. Then they refuse to raise money and argue that you can win a race in a 20 county district with zero campaign funds, and then begin holding actual fundraisers 4 weeks before the primary. Next they agree to not attack fellow republicans, then they send out releases attacking Reid in the last mins of the campaign. Now they take it back, sort of. Not to mention the earlier attacks on blogs, that Tyberg claimed wasn't his fault because he didn't read letters put out by his campaign.
It is just mind boggling!!! So I was just trying to come out with a reaction from the tyberg campaign that they would come up with. In other words nonsense!
A letter to the editor in today's (August 30th) Daily Telegram is much worse than the site posted above. It is titled "Neo-cons are in bed with 'Big Oil'". You can guess where it goes after that: Class warfare, Anwar, Ethanol, radical republicans, energy independence...Chile is independent (Lamas don't drink oil) and it concludes with, " This Congress is full of radical, neo-con Republicans, marching lock-step over our economy, our beautiful countryside and our beloved constitution...".
Wow. Now that I think about it maybe Nick Reid makes my CD's skip and my computer to crash.
The 7th GOP should change its policy about not endorsing or funding candidates before the primary. Perhaps a super majority vote by the 7th GOP for endorsements and funding? The Wisconsin primary is just too late to allow this to happen again. Way to much PAC money has been lost in this process.
No doubt, about the endorsement. They tried, but some of the county chairs including those who support Nick had a complete cow about it. Going on about how in 1978 the party endorsed the wrong candidate, and so on. Completely absurd, this is why Obey has lasted as long as he has, and why we're looked down on by people in DC and Madison.
