Obey Says No to Voter ID

Yesterday the U.S. House voted to require voters to show government issued photo-ID in order to vote. Dave Obey voted NO. Any questions?

As I detailed on my own blog, Democrats know full well that they get far more votes by allowing fraud than they could ever produce legitimately. They will fight tooth and nail to keep it (fraud) so they can stay in office.

Anyone who does an honest study of the history of voter fraud cannot come to any other conclusion; JFK was elected thanks to the fraud in Chicago, Bob Dornan (R-CA) lost his House seat thanks to registration of illegal aliens by Democrats in Orange County, Christine Gregoire became Governor of Washington thanks to the dead vote and ballot box stuffing, and Gore and Kerry both "won" Wisconsin thanks to the multiple-vote and rampant voter registration fraud in Milwaukee and Madison.

This will not stop until WE make it stop. Democrats need those votes (and of course they'll scream about how we're trying to "disenfranchise" their voters). How dare we try to take votes away from dead people and Democrats trying to get their 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 20th votes on election day! We should be ashamed!

[for Democrats reading this who don't understand, THAT WAS SARCASM at the end]

This is probably the singlemost critical issue that faces us today, but, as usual, nobody has much to say about it.

Are we perfectly willing to concede voting fraud? Are we so confident that we can get our candidates elected (or don't really care if we do) that we'll stand by and let another 30,000 votes go mysteriously into the official count again (actually, it's probably more than that by a long shot as 60% of Marquette students alone admitted to voting more than once).

If street gangs were wandering through your town raping your teenagers and stealing your stuff, you would probably say something, wouldn't you? Yet vote felons can steal your vote every election without a peep from you in protest.

It's a felony! And it's a real problem, not an imagined one. I watched it happen as a poll monitor in the last presidential election and could do very little to stop it other than report the irregularities and hope for the best (fat chance).

It is state law to change your driver's licence to the correct address WITHIN 7 DAYS when you move, yet people were registering to vote claiming to have lived in the home indicated on their CELL PHONE BILL for "three months" who still had Madison addresses on their DL.

They were obviously student-age, but no questions were raised by the poll workers (their job is to get people in to vote, not to ask any questions about why they didn't bother to change their license). They were never asked if they had already voted. They just walked right in and voted (again), no problem.

Poll workers also used non-approved forms of ID including personal checks (with no photo ID to back it up). You tell me there are no problems with voting and I'll tell you to quit smoking that stuff that's growing out there behind the outhouse.
