Are you sitting down?

Did the Telegram say what I think they said here?

Already, the U.S. House campaign of Nick Reid and Wisconsin Senate campaign of Shirley Riedmann are evidence that Republicans are making a strong push to gain strength in northwestern Wisconsin. They represent a stronger breed of GOP candidate than in recent years, and additionally suggest a trend is in the works.

Yes, that sounded like a compliment to Nick Reid's campaign.

If you want the short version, the Telegram is saying that Northwest Wisconsin may be trending toward Republicans.

We need to capitalize on this trend. It's the last day of the quarterly reporting period for campaign contributions. If you believe as we and the Telegram do that Nick Reid is running the strongest campaign since Scott West in 1996, then click here and send him a few bucks today.

I plan to comment soon, after I get up off the floor....Kudos to the Daily Telegram for some fair comments. It's not too gah-gah about one side or the other.

With change to a more reportive tone, and some added stats, this would have made a great investigative news article.

If they keep writing some fair articles like this one I may just have to re-subscribe. Maybe the paper can have more than the one use I had been using it for --- an expesive fire starter.

Let us also not forget Dari McDonald running in the 75th assembly district against 22 year incumbent Democrat Mary Hubler.
